With the online cycle route planner Fietsknooppunt.be and the app "Fietsknooppunt" you can discover the most beautiful cycle routes along junctions in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and France and you can easily plan a cycle tour. On the maps you will find the complete network of cycle junctions in the East Cantons and therefore also in the area around Lommersweiler.

Cycling on the Vennbahn
Discover the Vennbahn, one of the longest converted railway lines in Europe. This 125-kilometre fully paved route offers a unique cycling experience through three countries, with minimal elevation changes making it ideal for cyclists of all levels.
The Vennbahn takes you through breathtaking nature and lets you enjoy the charm of the border region. Along the way you will encounter many fascinating Vennbahn stories, which bring the history and culture of the region to life.
There are two routes near our holiday home.
- Where knights once lived;
- Experience nature with all your senses.
There are also several educational trails nearby.
- Planetary path Sankt Vith;
- Rodt forest trail;
- Historical walk Sankt Vith.

The East Cantons: a paradise for mountain bikers

With more than 480 km of signposted routes and 13 challenging loops, this region offers endless adventure for beginners and experienced bikers alike. Discover the East Cantons on two wheels! With 850 km of signposted cycle routes and a smart junction system, you can effortlessly create your own tour. Choose from 10 beautiful loop routes from 28 to 48 km, perfect for both recreational cyclists and sporty adventurers.
Cycle along former railway lines such as the beloved Ravel, or explore rolling landscapes and hidden gems. Thanks to the clear signposting, you can enjoy every ride without a care in the world.
Three Ovelo routes are located in the vicinity of our holiday home.

Bikepark Volmersberg Technik Trail
Bijna 5 km aan singletrails slingeren zich door het uitdagende bosgebied van de Volmersberg. Dankzij de natuurlijke hellingen biedt het bikepark een afwisselend parcours met secties voor elk niveau – van blauw (makkelijk) tot rood (gevorderd) en zwart (experts), net als bij skipistes.
Grote hindernissen? Geen zorgen! Er zijn altijd uitwijkmogelijkheden, zodat zowel recreatieve mountainbikers als ambitieuze renners hier aan hun techniek kunnen werken. Dit unieke terrein werd zelfs erkend door de Belgacom GP als officieel UCI-MTB-parcours.
The Bikepark is always accessible and can be reached via the RAVeL, with parking at the Cultuur- en Beurscentrum Triangel. Please note: not suitable for children under 8 years. Ready for action? Come ride on the Volmersberg!
